Kishan is a fervent believer in celebrating founders as the superheroes of our time. Growing up with entrepreneurial parents and witnessing their journey firsthand has fueled his passion for championing visionary founders and the transformative potential of entrepreneurship.
He considers himself fortunate to be part of an era in which India is poised for groundbreaking innovation and enduring disruption. Kishan recognizes that founders who harness the Indian ecosystem's distinctive characteristics will play a pivotal role in realizing the country's ambitious economic and social aspirations. Journey
Prior to joining Z47 (fka Matrix Partners India), Kishan worked in management consulting at McKinsey & Company with a focus on large-scale sales & marketing transformations. His work included uncovering growth opportunities for consumer brands, driving on-ground B2B sales across consumer electronics, building materials, and packaging solutions, PMing end-to-end development of a best-in-class sales enablement app, orchestrating global GTM for health products, and more. He has also helped clients identify and evaluate potential targets and chart out the post-acquisition integration playbook.
Prior to McKinsey, Kishan worked at Axis Bank as part of their Credit & Debit Cards analytics team working on customer acquisition, retention, and targeted promotions. During his undergrad, he worked with an early stage ed-tech startup as one of the earliest team members.
He holds a B.Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad where he was a top academic performer, ranking 2nd in the batch in the first year and led the consulting club on campus.
Outside of work, he is extremely passionate about Hindustani classical music and Urdu poetry and is a trained vocalist, an occasional Urdu poet and a composer and songwriter. He loves watching Cricket, Formula 1, and is the biggest self-proclaimed Roger Federer fan.
